Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.
The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.
The attendee killed in the shooting at Donald Trump‘s rally on Saturday was identified as Corey Comperatore, a 50-year-old firefighter with a wife and two daughters who “died a hero,” said Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro. “Corey dove on his family to protect them last night to protect them as this rally,” Shapiro said, relaying a message after speaking to Comperatore’s wife. “Corey was the very best of us.
May his memory be a blessing,” Shapiro told reporters. The FBI said that one male attendee was killed and two others critically injured when the shooter opened fire on the rally.
Former President Donald Trump also was injured, but is doing “fine,” according to the campaign. Shapiro said that Comperatore “went to church every Sunday” and “loved his community,” and “most especially Corey loved his family.” “Corey was an avid supporter of the former president, and was so excited to be there last night with him in the community,” he said.
