Cops seize haul of weapons and drugs after Audi 'races Mercedes' through Bolton

A haul of weapons and drugs were seized from an Audi in Bolton after it was seen racing through the streets with a Mercedes-Benz.

Knives and cannabis were among the items seized by officers after pulling over the grey Audi A3. Greater Manchester Police says the car had been brought to officers' attention when it was seen racing against a black Mercedes through Farnworth.

Specialist road policing officers were able to bring the Audi to a halt in Kearsley and block the car in. GMP says the driver attempted to make a getaway from the scene once the car had been stopped, but officers were able to detain the offender.
