A Sri Lankan restaurant in Hale has been named ‘best fine dining restaurant’ at the annual Asian Restaurant Awards. Sigiriya, in Hale Village, scooped the gong at the ceremony at the Hilton in Manchester this week.
The awards show is held by the Asian Catering Federation, which represents 30,000 Asian and Oriental restaurants around the UK.
The restaurant’s owner Don Buddhika said in a post to Instagram: “Thank you so much to the awards. And to each and every one of you that dines with us.
We couldn’t be Sigiriya without you!” The restaurant serves a range of Sri Lankan dishes and curries, as well as street foods and salads.
