Cops 'increase presence' in Edinburgh as search for missing Scot continues

Cops have said there will be an 'increased police presence' in part of Edinburgh as the search for a missing Scot continues.

Stuart Campbell was last seen in the Barn Park area of Wester Hailes, around 4pm on Tuesday, March 22. The 36-year-old, who has not been in contact with family or friends, is understood to also have links to Oxgangs area of the city.Police have said there will be more officers in the Wester Hailes area as the search continues three days on from Stuart's disappearance.

Stuart is described as 5ft 10in tall, with short brown hair.He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured jacket, green hooded top with white ties and grey jogging bottoms.Police are appealing for information and have asked locals to check CCTV and dash-cam footage from the time he was last seen.Chief Inspector Mark Hamilton, Area Commander for South West Edinburgh said: “Stuart has not contacted friends or family since he was last seen, and we don’t believe he has access to a mobile phone.“We are asking people in the local area to check garages, sheds, outhouses for any sign of Stuart and urge anyone who thinks they may have seen him since Tuesday 22 March 2022 to please get in touch with us.”“We would also like people to check CCTV and dash-cam footage from the time he was last seen.Anyone with any information is urged to contact 101, quoting reference 1205 of 28 March 2022.
