Cops box in banned BMW driver on Salford motorway who then fails drug test

Police staged a dramatic ‘boxing’ of a BMW on a Salford motorway this afternoon to stop a driver who evaded cops in Cheshire last week.

It was then found the driver then failed a drugs test. Greater Manchester Police’s traffic unit tweeted at 3:25pm that its officers had now arrested the driver and seized the BMW.

It was picked up on the M602 by [the] SRT Tasking Team and boxed to prevent a pursuit. Driver [was] disqualified till April 2023 he then failed a drugs test + cocaine.” A photo accompanying the tweet shows the police vehicles surrounding the BMW at a junction on the motorway.
