Convicted paedophile dies in prison on day of sentencing for new offences

A convicted paedophile died in prison on the day he was due to be sentenced for new offences. John Sadler was facing up to 10 years in jail.

But on Tuesday, November 26 he was found dead at HMP Liverpool, the Liverpool Echo reports. The 32-year-old was convicted of a number of offences on Monday following a trial.

According to charge sheets, Sadler faced communication and image charges involving both real children and police decoys. READ MORE: Poisoned British lawyer’s mother made 16-hour journey to be at her bedside It's understood Sadler was facing the prospects of a sentence up to 10 years' imprisonment.

A source said Sadler was due to be sentenced on video link on Tuesday afternoon but the hearing got adjourned due to a medical emergency.
