The lights shone brightly on Newmains' Christmas tree at this year’s festive switch-on thanks to the help of Bellway Homes West Division’s construction team.The community had struggled in recent years to raise funds to have a Christmas tree on display at the Newmains roundabout in the heart of the village, near Wishaw.This year the community council purchased a living tree to avoid the spiralling costs and as a trial for future years.
However, for the tree to be correctly positioned, ground works were required on the roundabout.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
