Reports that a Tory MP was watching pornography on his phone while in the Commons chamber are being investigated. Conservative chief whip Chris Heaton-Harris is probing the claims, a statement from his office has confirmed.
The Tory in question was sat next to a female MP while watching the adult content, reports the Mirror. The incident is said to have taken place 'in the last few months,' it was revealed in a meeting at Westminster on Tuesday night (April 26).
Three sources said that around a dozen women MPs at the meeting shared accounts of alleged sexism and harassment by their colleagues. The meeting of between 40 and 50 Tory MPs, known as the 2022 group, was attended by new chief whip Chris Heaton-Harris, Tory party chair Oliver Dowden and Commons leader Mark Spencer.
