Conor McGregor Loses Sexual Assault Case, Ordered to Pay $260,000 in Damages

Conor McGregor has lost his sexual assault case. On Friday (November 22), a High Court of Dublin civil jury ruled in favor of Nikita Hand, a woman who alleged that the 36-year-old UFC fighter had “brutally raped and battered” her during an encounter back in 2018. Keep reading to find out more…According to Reuters, McGregor testified that he had “never forced” Hand to “do anything against her will,” claiming that they had “consensual sex” during the 2018 encounter in a penthouse of a Dublin hotel.

In her testimony, Hand said that the alleged assault left her heavily bruised and suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

After he was found liable, the jury ordered McGregor to pay $260,000 in damages to Hand. She also accused another man, James Lawrence, of sexual assault, but the jury did not find him liable.

After losing the case, McGregor released a statement to TMZ, in which he said, “The judge’s instruction and the modest award given was for assault, there was not an award for aggravated or exemplary damages.
