Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz have traded drug-cheat accusations as their rivalry builds towards a third fight. Having shared the cage twice in 2016, the pair have long been on a collision course for a rubber match.
And after McGregor had questioned the UFC's drug-testing policy with a swipe at Diaz, his adversary hit back. McGregor had queried why so few athletes had been publicly named as having failed a drugs test and referenced Diaz's abnormal test in 2019 which he blamed on a contaminated supplement.
Diaz was cleared of any wrongdoing and went on to fight Jorge Masvidal, a bout he lost when it was stopped on cuts after three rounds.
