Only Conor McGregor would decide to get his son baptised at the Vatican in Rome. The ostentatious mixed martial arts fighter is not one to do things by half and he pulled out all the stops for his third child’s christening.
He welcomed baby Rían with his fiancée Dee Devlin in May of this year while the family were living in the States. Five months later the family flew to the Vatican to have the tot baptised in St Peter’s Basilica, a Renaissance church within the Vatican City.
It’s believed that Conor and the rest of the McGregor family arrived at the Vatican via minibuses, through an internal door that leads directly to the Choir Chapel, where baptisms can take place inside the famous Vatican Basilica.
