Community larder set up in one Wishaw community to help those in need

Members of a Wishaw community have together to create a new community food larder to help those in need. Coltness Community Council began to operate the larder in the run-up to Christmas and have opted to continue to the scheme into 2023 in a bid to help locals overcome the cost-of-living crisis.Community council chairman John Carr said: “We started the larder in the run-up to the festive season because we could see people really struggling with Christmas on the horizon.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
