metro.co.ukRussell Howard has the backing of his comedian comrades after he stormed off set recently when he noticed a member of the audience filming him.Five minutes into his gig in Bristol on Wednesday the comic noticed a woman in the front row pointing her phone at him.Showing frustration with the situation, he said ‘that’s literally the worst thing you can do’ before grabbing his bag and cutting his performance, held on the outdoor terrace of city centre bar Bambalan.Those in his industry have since praised the move, with Shappi Khorsandi writing on Twitter: ‘[100 emoji] with Russell on this.
Last year woman did this to me…kills spontaneity, trust and intimacy of a live show.’Sharing Shappi’s post, fellow comic Sofie Hagen added: ‘I agree 1000%.
