Tom O'Connor has died at the age of 81. The stand-up comedian - who hosted a number of TV quiz shows during his career - passed away in hospital on Sunday (18.

07. 21), after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease 14 years ago. Steve Finan O'Connor, his son, has paid tribute to the late comedian, describing his dad as being "light years ahead of political correctness".

He added: "Tom was famously known for a brand of humour that was 100 percent clean and always totally family friendly. " The comedy star hosted shows such as 'Name That Tune', 'Crosswits' and 'The Tom O'Connor Show' during his career.
