Tributes have poured in for Slipknot's founding drummer Joey Jordison after he died at the age of 46. Joey, who was part of the group from their formation in 1995 until 2013, "passed away peacefully in his sleep", his family say.
Many of his friends from iconic metal bands have taken to social media to pay heartfelt tributes to Joey who was one of Slipknot's main songwriters.
Murderdolls front man Wednesday 13 shared a picture of him with Joey and wrote alongside it: "R.I.P. Joey Jordison I’ll never forget you.
You changed my life forever." Dave Lombardo, frontman of US hardcore punk group Dead Cross and drummer for Slayer said: "I am shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Joey Jordison.
