Comedian Ken Flores has tragically passed away at just 28 years old amidst his Butterfly Effect tour.The Chicago-based comedian was in the middle of performing 33 dates across the US and was scheduled to take the stage today in Phoenix, Arizona.
His family released a heartbreaking statement, saying: "It is with great sadness that we confirm the untimely passing of our friend, brother, and son, Kenyi Flores." They added: "Please respect our privacy at this time as we are all shocked and devastated by this loss." The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Flores died at home on Tuesday after a cardiac arrest, according to TMZ.
His family haven't shared an official cause of death. Flores had last performed on 25 January in Norcross, Georgia, with his tour set to continue until 19 April.
In one of his recent social media updates, he shared insights into his tour experience and decision to go sober, stating: "So I started my tour a couple weeks ago and I'm proud to say I've done every single show.
