Comcast has promoted Steve Croney to a newly created role as chief operating officer for the domestic businesses of its Connectivity & Platforms segment that serves more than 32 million customers.
It’s a significant role at Comcast’s biggest division with about $80 billion in annual revenue that oversees broadband — as the largest provider in U.S. — voice and video to residential and business customers.
The NBCUniversal parent’s other division is Content & Experiences. The exec, who previously served as CFO of the business, will lead the teams responsible for Comcast’s residential and commercial businesses in the US, including product strategy, sales and marketing, customer experience, field operations, and data analytics.
