Here are the wildest moments in Coachella’s 23-year history. Rage Against The Machine get things off to an explosive start - 1999The inaugural Coachella in 1999 was headlined by Beck, Tool and Rage Against The Machine.
It was the latter band, fresh from playing the ill-fated Woodstock ’99, who made the biggest and loudest impact. The group split the following year shortly after releasing fourth record Renegades.
