Co-op urgently recalls tuna products because of 'metal pieces' inside and warns they are 'unsafe to eat'

Co-op customers are being urged to check their cupboards for two different types of tuna after a health and safety warning was issued.

The supermarket is urgently recalling its tuna chunks in sunflower oil and tuna chunks in spring water as they may contain pieces of metal, making them unsafe to eat.

Shoppers are being asked to look for the affected products which have best before dates of 31 August 2024 and 31 August 2024.

The UK supermarket chain issued the urgent recall for the products after a food safety alert was issued from The Food Standards Agency (FSA).
