CNN contributor Van Jones teared up while discussing the impact of Joe Biden winning the election, just moments after the former VP was declared the project winner of the election.

The 52-year-old Emmy-winning journalist said that it’s “easier” to be a parent now that Trump will no longer be in office. “Well, it’s easier to be a parent this morning.

It’s easier to be a dad. It’s easier to tell your kids character matters. It matters. Telling the truth matters. Being a good person matters,” Van said.

He continued by saying, “And it’s easier for a whole lot of people. If you’re Muslim in this country, you don’t have to worry if the president doesn’t want you here.
