Clydesdale group submit an application to buy a former school

A Biggar group has expressed its interest in purchasing an old school for community use.Biggar Men’s Shed has submitted a community asset transfer request to purchase the former Walston Primary School.

The organisation currently leases the building, but wishes to own it to bring it up to standard for locals.In a statement submitted to South Lanarkshire Council, the group has outlined the need for purchasing the school.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
