While Clodagh McKenna’s husband Harry Herbert might be best known for being the Queen’s godson and his family’s link to the Downton Abbey estate, he was also a very close friend of the late Princess Diana.

In fact the chief executive of Highclere Thoroughbred Racing was such a great pal of the late royal’s that many people are said to have thought the friendly duo should have married.

Of course, that never happened with Diana marrying Prince Charles in 1981 and Harry tying the knot with his first wife Francesca in 1992.

Now months after her own dreamy nuptials on the Highclere estate, Irish chef Clodagh has opened up about her hubby’s close bond with the late princess.
