Claudia Winkleman is back at the helm of One Question for its second season, but she's been scolded by bosses for trying to give contestants a nudge in the right direction.
The Channel 4 quiz show is making an imminent comeback, with pairs vying for a whopping £100k prize by answering just one question from a selection of possible answers – they just need to nail the right one.
During its inaugural run in 2022, Claudia Winkleman couldn't help but assist the players, and it seems she hasn't quite kicked the habit for the new season. "I really want to help them," admits the One Question presenter, 53.The production team has had to step in. "No one trusts me," she quips. "When we did one of the run throughs and I knew the answer, the bosses said ‘Stop winking and making strange noises.’" Measures have been ramped up to prevent any potential slip-ups this time round: "They don’t give me the questions, and certainly not the answers, before we’re in the studio," says the Strictly host.
For the first time ever, a live audience will be part of the show, and they're proving more tight-lipped than Claudia. "They’re very good. There are no coughs," she notes.
