Claudia Winkleman's sister shares rare insight into relationship with royal in-laws
ok.co.ukPeep Show's Big Suze star, Sophie Winkleman, has spilled the beans about her royal in-laws, including King Charles. The 43 year old actress, who is also a member of the Royal Family and whose husband is 53rd in line to the throne, shared some insights which included how the late Queen Elizabeth helped her recover after a car crash.
Speaking to Tatler, Sophie revealed King Charles is a "dear friend" and she spends "a bit of time with him". She shared: "Behind the camera, they're really fun, clever, kind people.
I love Sophie (Duchess of) Edinburgh, (Lady) Sarah Chatto, Zara (Tindall), the York girls (Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie), (Vice Admiral) Tim and Princess Anne, Fergie, all the Kents and Gloucesters. "I love Catherine and William, but they're so busy and don't live in London, so I don't see them much." The Prince and Princess of Wales moved to Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Castle estate, a far cry from their London home, Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace, which was a stone's throw from Buckingham Palace.
But it was the late Queen who proved to be pivotal in helping Sophie recover from a near-fatal crash years ago. She was trapped upside in a car when filming a TV show in 2016 and paramedics had to cut her out of the vehicle.
