Fans were made to endure a longer Droughtlander than most for season six to arrive and boy, it really hasn't disappointed. Filled with drama right from the start, the arrival of the Christies and the fisherfolk has really shaken things up on Fraser's Ridge where Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) are trying to hold things together.

Episode six, "The World Turned Upside Down", saw things take another shocking turn when Malva Christie (Jessica Reynolds) accused Jamie of getting her pregnant while Claire was sick, while her angered brother Allan (Alexander Vlahos) and father Tom (Mark Lewis Jones) watched on.

As if the arrival of the bloody pox and Claire falling ill wasn't bad enough.As Jamie travels with Roger to help join the Revolutionists in their growing push to separate from Britain, the rumours spread and the lovers, who have defied centuries of time to be together, are feeling the pressure on their relationship.And when Malva is killed in their front garden, the preview for episode 7, "Sticks and Stones", shows suspicion has quickly fallen on Claire, who was the one to find her and was covered in her blood with a knife in her hands when the others arrived.While Jamie looks ready to explode in rage at the possibility anyone will come after his wife once again, Young Ian suspects the Beardsley Boys might have something to do with Malva's death and goes looking for them.In one of the scenes we also see what appears to be armed militia, as the Revolutionary War finally arrives at the Ridge.The synopsis for the new episode adds: "Claire struggles with her demons as a nefarious rumour begins to spread on the Ridge.
