Joe Otterson TV Reporter A live-action film adaptation of the video game “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33” is in the works before the game even launches.
Variety has learned exclusively that game developer Sandfall Interactive is teaming with Story Kitchen to develop a film version of the game, which will be published by Kepler Interactive.
The game is due to be released on April 24 on Xbox, Playstation, PC, Steam, and Epic. It was recently showcased on Xbox Developer Direct and was featured on DualShockers’ Top 10 Most Anticipated Indie Games of 2025 as well as the cover of “PC Gamer” and “Edge Magazine.” “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Sandfall Interactive to bring the rich, immersive world of ‘Expedition 33’ to the big screen,” said Story Kitchen founders Dmitri M.
