By David Robb Labor Editor Reopening the film and TV industry “is not going to be linear and it’s not going to be simple,” said Rebecca Rhine, executive director of the International Cinematographers Guild, IATSE Local 600, in today’s video message to her members. “We’re just gonna have to keep looking at all the different variables and come up with the most effective way to keep people safe, and there’s nothing more important than getting this right.” Watch the video above.
Local 600 president John Lindley said that one of the main instruments through which the industry will reopen is the Industry-Wide Labor-Management Safety Committee, which has been active for decades in developing safety protocols for film and TV production.
