Brooklyn-based, Philadelphia-raised MC and model Chynna Rogers has died at the age of 25. “I can regrettably confirm Chynna passed away,” her manager John Miller told Billboard’s sister title Stereogum via email.
He added that her family said, “Chynna was deeply loved and will be sorely missed”. The cause of death is currently unknown.
The artist got her break as a model, signing to Ford Models at the age of 14. Later, she became friends with A$AP Mob founder A$AP Yams and New York City awaited.
It was the late Yams who inspired Rogers to pursue a career in music. In the 2013, she enjoyed viral success with "Selfie," followed by 2014's "Glen Coco," before releasing her EP I'm Not Here.
