A little over a decade ago Scottish synth-pop trio Chvrches made an early appearance on The FADER with the premiere of their debut single "The Mother We Share." Writing at the time, Duncan Cooper highlighted Lauren Mayberry's vocals, praising her ability "to soar straight over electrobeat clutter and still sound delicate." Fast forward ten years and Chvrches have released four studio albums and collaborated with the likes of The National and The Cure.
This week they celebrate the anniversary of their 2013 debut The Bones of What You Believe with a special reissue featuring four previously unheard songs and five live tracks recorded around the time of release.

The mix is built from the earliest demo of the song (featuring the band's Martin Doherty on vocals) and tracks the song through five alternate demos that ultimately led to the song that was debuted back in 2012.
