Christopher Nolan is teaming up with Universal again following his Oscar-winning success from the movie Oppenheimer.

The acclaimed director spent most of his career partnering with Warner Bros., but Oppenheimer marked his departure from the studio and first film with Universal.

Now, Nolan‘s follow-up to the Oscar-winning film will be released through Universal on July 17, 2026. An IMAX release is already set in place. Keep reading to find out more… No details are known about the movie as of this time, but Nolan will both direct and write the film with his wife Emma Thomas producing. Matt Damon is in talks to star in the film, according to Deadline.

The movie is expected to shoot in early 2025. This will mark Matt‘s third film with Nolan following 2014′s Interstellar and 2023′s Oppenheimer.
