Emmett Brown in the famed film franchise, spoke with GQ Monday in a career retrospective, in which he recalled how Stoltz was let go from the film six weeks into production as filmmakers 'just decided that they needed somebody with a comic flair.'Said Lloyd: 'My biggest fear was that, because I was really working to get Doc right, I thought, "I don’t know if I can get it up to do [all the scenes over] again." So I was worried about it.

Lloyd went on to appear alongside Fox in the 1985 hit and its sequels, 1989's Back to the Future Part II and 1990's Back to the Future Part III.'Michael, we had a chemistry which lasted the whole time,' Lloyd said. 'We could come back after the break and it would just be there.' Lloyd said he was concerned about mustering up the proper energy to reshoot the scenes Lloyd, calling Stoltz 'a wonderful actor, said he 'had no idea the change was coming' when he was summoned into a meeting revealing the news Lloyd opened up about the long term legacy.
