mirror.co.ukA woman left unconscious and seriously injured in country lane after a suspected hit and run on Christmas Eve morning. Police were called to the scene in Ashtead, Surrey, after a member of the public found the unnamed victim lying on the ground.
The woman was taken to hospital where she remains in a stable but serious condition, Surrey Live reports. PC Emma Davies, said the collision is believed to have occurred between 8.15am and 8.20am on Thursday. "If you were in the area and saw anything or possibly have any dashcam footage or CCTV, please get in touch with us," she said in a statement.
The suspected hit and run came hours before a teenager was killed in a car crash, also on Christmas Eve, in another part of the UK.
