Christine McGuinness talks 'date nights' in rare update on relationship status

Christine McGuinness has confirmed her relationship status, telling fans that she's still single after joking that she was going on a date with Blue's Duncan James.The TV star, who split from husband Paddy McGuinness last year, took to Instagram earlier in the week, telling fans that she was heading out on a "date" with a "new man".

Fans were later sent then sent into a frenzy after Christine, 35, posted a video and a snap suggesting that her date was Duncan, 45, who is openly gay.The mum-of-three later returned to Instagram, revealing that she was simply spending time with her pal and has no plans of dating anytime soon.

In a video posted to her Instagram Story, Christine said: "You know it's a good night when you don’t take any photos. Loads of you are saying 'Oh we're so happy for you' that I was on a date. "It was my mate, Duncan's my friend, Duncan's got a gorgeous partner and I love them both.

But yeah, I was only taking the p**s when I said I was on a date." She continued: "I don't like dates, I don't do dates absolutely not, my voice keeps going I was talking all night.
