Throughout her time on our screens, Christine Lampard has become a well loved and familiar face to viewers at home. Having appeared on shows including Loose Women, The One Show and Lorraine, the 45 year old is a firm fixture on the small screen.

But over the years, Christine has also opened up about the not so high points during her career, including the launch of ITV’s breakfast show Daybreak in September 2010.The show replaced previous breakfast programme GMTV, but saw ratings fall to around 600,000 – less than half of BBC Breakfast’s viewing figures.

In an interview with The Guardian in November 2010, Christine and co-host Adrian Chiles opened up about the show, with the mum-of-two explaining that she was “nervous” about her first show. “We got through it anyway, put it that way,” she explained. “And I was so nervous about it, I was just glad there were no blazing errors.

We thought it was OK.” However, Adrian added: “We woke up in the morning and found out that, far from being OK, it was actually one of the biggest crocks of s***e anyone had seen in years." According to The Guardian, critics accused Christine of appearing to be “out of her depth” while Adrian appeared to “look miserable”.
