Christine Baranski Celebrates Her 70th Birthday at Met Gala 2022!
justjared.comChristine Baranski is celebrating her 70th birthday at the 2022 Met Gala! The actress, who currently stars in HBO Max’s The Gilded Age, attended fashion’s big event on her birthday, Monday (May 2), at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
For the event, Christine sported a black tuxedo-inspired dress paired with oversized black sunglasses. Also stepping out for the Met Gala were Christine‘s The Gilded Age co-stars Louisa Jacobson – in a sheer black and gold dress – and Denee Benton, who wore a pink and red, silk dress.
The dress code for the event is “Gilded Glamour” and it’s inspired by the Costume Institute’s exhibition, In America: An Anthology of Fashion.
Guests are asked to “embody the grandeur—and perhaps the dichotomy—of Gilded Age New York,” a period that stretched from 1870 to 1890.
