Christina Aguilera says she has 'respect and admiration' for Britney Spears in wake of family feud

Christina Aguilera had nothing but kind words for her former Mickey Mouse Club alum Britney Spears during an appearance this week on The Enrique Santos Show.The 41-year-old Genie in a Bottle singer discussed the end of Britney's conservatorship saying she 'couldn't be happier' for her fellow popstar.Her comments come in the midst of Britney's current feud with her father Jamie and sister Jamie Lynn, and months after Spears slammed Christina for 'refusing' to speak out about her situation.

'I couldn't be happier for her, and every woman deserves to feel empowered and to own that for themselves, however they see fit,' Christina said when asked about Spears. 'If anybody gets that and understands what that means at that time coming up, it definitely would be her and I,' Christina continued, noting she would 'always be here.
