Christian Eriksen has verbally agreed to join Manchester United on a three-year contract. Senior United sources say they are preparing contracts for Eriksen to sign.
Eriksen, 30, is a free agent after spending three months with Brentford following his recovery from a cardiac arrest while playing for Denmark during the European Championship. Read more: United aiming to complete five deals this month Former United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer approached Eriksen about the possibility of signing for the club three years ago but Eriksen preferred to join Inter Milan.
It is unclear if Eriksen will have a regular role in new manager Erik ten Hag's line-up but the Dane offers experience in the attacking third after Juan Mata left United.
Eriksen trained under Ten Hag at former club Ajax at the start of the year as he regained fitness. United supporters sportingly applauded Eriksen when he took a corner at Old Trafford in Brentford's 3-0 defeat in May.
