United completed the signing of Danish international Eriksen on a free transfer earlier this month after he penned a three-year contract at the club following his release from Brentford.
The 30-year-old became United's second signing of the summer under new manager Erik ten Hag, but did not meet up with his side during their recent pre-season tour of Australia and Thailand. Ten Hag's side have agreed a fee of £46.8million, rising to £55.3m, for Martinez on a five-year contract, plus an extra optional year.
