Chris Sutton has warned Philippe Clement that he could be reaching the Rangers point of no return. The Ibrox side failed to make up ground on Celtic and Aberdeen after their pulsating Premiership draw on Saturday, and instead contrived to fall even further behind the title race thanks to a 1-0 defeat at Kilmarnock.
They are now six points adrift with a crunch Europa League clash against FCSB this midweek before welcoming St MIrren. Then comes a trip to Pittodrie, which as things stand, could see the Dons pull nine points clear with a victory over Clement's men.
And Sutton reckons that would be too much for the Rangers mob to take and the Belgian could find himself out on his ear with such a salvage job on his hands so early in the season.
He told the It's All Kicking Off podcast: "Philippe Clement has said 'I need time' and I get that, there's been a massive overhaul. "But it's okay - as there was after the Celtic game - when there's 200 fans standing outside Ibrox and shouting their dissatisfaction.
