Strictly Come Dancing champion Chris McCausland has shared an emotional moment from his time on the show, revealing that a specific dance with partner Dianne Buswell brought him to tears.

Speaking on the Have A Word podcast, the comedian opened up about his Strictly journey and how performing to You'll Never Walk Alone, the anthem of his beloved Liverpool FC, caused him to feel upset.

He said: "We did that in episode five, and the nerves were humongous for that because of the pressure and the weight of what it was."He continued: "We were rehearsing it and while we were doing it, we were meeting and we kind of collided into this fast spin and honestly, even rehearsing it I was welling up."I just knew that it was emotional and it was more the collision together of the two of us spinning and honestly, I was so proud of it." The funnyman also confessed his nerves about participating in the popular dance competition: "Talking about nerves, I would say in the top 10 scary things I've done, Strictly is number one to 10.

Just the fear every episode and it got better from that first episode, it got better and it changed and some were more nerve-wracking than others."The pair's performance of a waltz to You'll Never Walk Alone impressed the judges, earning them a score of 35 and securing their place in the next round of the competition, reports the Liverpool Echo.Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. You'll receive daily updates on breaking news as well as the top headlines across Scotland. No one will be able to see who is signed up and no one can send messages except the Daily Record team. All you have to do is click here if you're on mobile, select 'Join Community' and you're
