Chris Evans admits that he wasn't concerned when his masseuse pointed out a mark on his skin as he is a redhead 'covered in freckles'.The broadcaster announced his skin cancer diagnosis on his Virgin Media show on Monday, just eight years after being given the all-clear following a prostate cancer scare in 2015.
The 57-year-old radio star thought the mark wouldn't be anything serious due to his freckle-prone skin. He told his listeners on Monday: "We need to discuss what's going on with this issue.
It is melanoma. There's this phrase called a malignant melanoma - you know once you get something and you find out all about it - that is a redundant phrase because if it is a melanoma it is malignant."He added: "But it's been caught so early, just so you know, that it should be completely treatable.
Treatment will happen on the 14th of September."During an interview with Mike Graham on TalkTV, Chris shared details of how he discovered the abnormal mark and got it checked out.
