His career has been one played out under intense scrutiny due to the successes of his father and namesake, Chris Sr. However, he has still forged an impressive career despite the increased spotlight, holding the WBA interim middleweight title on two occasions between 2015 and 2021.
He was also in possession of the IBO super-middleweight title twice between 2017 and 2019, an impressive achievement, which has seen him ranked as a top-ten fighter.
However, the biggest nights of his career have often resulted in defeat, with losses to George Groves and Billy-Joe Saunders coming before January's knockout loss to Smith.
