It was born to mum Beatrice, 11, and dad Elliot, 10. After a five-month pregnancy, the baby lemur is now three months old, with Zoo bosses keeping the arrival’s news under wraps as the youngster bonded with its mum.

The lemurs, native to northern Madagascar, stand perfectly upright while using their powerful legs to spring side to side along the floor — and they can leap more than six metres (20ft) through the treetops in a single jump.
