One might find it hard to believe that the late great Tina Turner and ex Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Tweedy have much in common other than their passion for music and vocal ability.
But fans of either hitmaker have been left blown away after making the startling discovery that former X Factor hitmaker Cheryl is one of the six individuals that "Queen of Rock 'n' Roll" Tina - who passed away earlier this week aged 83 - follows on Instagram.
And though there is no evidence that the oddly-put-together pair have ever met, in 2010, sources claimed that Cheryl, now 39, had been inspired by the 'Proud Mary' singer during her divorce from footballer Ashley Cole.
Amid the uncertainty on whether she should keep her footballer ex-husband's surname - having been recognised professionally as Chery Cole - the Newcastle-born star is said to have been temporarily inspired by Tina's past decision to keep her own ex's surname.
