Cheryl made a heart-wrenching decision ahead of Liam Payne's funeral on Wednesday. The Girls Aloud star, 41, joined other mourners including One Direction's Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, to bid a final farewell to the late singer.
Liam tragically fell from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on October 16. Alongside her Girls Aloud bandmates Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh, Cheryl stood with Liam's grieving parents, Geoff and Karen Payne, and his sisters Ruth and Nicola, at the funeral which she helped organise.
Sources reveal that Liam's family wanted him to have a dignified and "perfect" send-off after his tragic death. Cheryl, who shares son Bear, 7, with Liam, was in a relationship with the One Direction star from 2016 until 2018.
Despite their split, they remained close friends and co-parented their son - whose face they have never shown to the public.
