Cheryl's efforts to ensure 'Liam isn't forgotten' ahead of son Bear's first Christmas without dad

Cheryl is facing her first Christmas without Liam Payne, the father of her son Bear.The 31 year old One Direction star tragically passed away after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on October 16th.

Now Cheryl, the former X Factor judge, is determined to make Christmas extra special for seven year old Bear, who's dealing with his first festive season without his dad.

Liam was known for always being there on Christmas Day, and now Cheryl along with Liam's parents, Karen and Geoff, as well as his sisters, are coming together to support Bear. "It has been a really sad time for Bear and Cheryl...This was the time when Liam would skip over to Cheryl's and despite them not being together, they would give Bear the most special of days," shared a source with the Mail on Sunday.

They noted that Liam made it a point to be home for the holidays: "Wherever Liam was in the world, he'd always make sure to be home to spend Christmas Day with Bear. [Bear] will always have those memories, but now things will be different." Despite splitting in 2018, Cheryl has kept a strong connection with Liam's family, forging an extended network of support for their young son alongside her own mother Joan.
