Kepa Arrizabalaga looks likely to be given another season to change the mind of Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, thanks in part to the dramatic financial effect that the coronavirus has had on football.
The world's most expensive goalkeeper had been dropped by Lampard and replaced by Willy Caballero prior to the Premier League's suspension in March.
The former Blues midfielder hinted that he didn't see Kepa as having a future at the club and was expected to welcome offers for the 25-year-old once the summer transfer market opened.
But with football in financial disarray and teams losing huge amounts of income due to no ticket sales, Chelsea have performed a u-turn and decided to give their No.1 another chance.
