Frank Lampard has lost confidence over both during the course of the season, with Cesar Azpilicueta being deployed in the position at times.
It has led to interest in the likes of Alex Telles and Ben Chilwell. However, both have been strongly linked with clubs elsewhere or have had their price set too high.
Telles could leave Porto for Paris St-Germain while Chilwell has been priced at up to £60m from Leicester. Meanwhile, Inter Milan are interested in signing Emerson or Alonso after making a move in January.
