New research has revealed the UK postcodes that are the most affordable to buy property in – and Ayrshire features five times in the top 20.
According to the annual Sellers Report from estate agent comparison site GetAgent, Scotland is home to 13 out of the top 20 cheapest postcodes to buy a house.
East Ayrshire's Newmilns is the second least expensive place in the UK to purchase property in. The study found that the average asking price in the Ayrshire village is just £69,049.
Kilbirnie in North Ayrshire came in at fourth on the list, averaging £78,110 to buy property. South Ayrshire's only entry on the list come by way of Dalmilling which averages at £99,291.
