Hats off to Charlotte Hawkins for dressing up on Royal Ascot’s Ladies’ Day – as she watched from her sofa. The racing went ahead behind closed doors yesterday, as it has all week.

And Good Morning Britain’s Charlotte jockeyed for position with a host of fans tuning in at home in the who’s-got-the-best-outfit stakes.

The presenter, who would have been at the event, said: “It’s been such fun... I love that people have been getting dressed up.” Formula E host Nicki Shields was among others sharing pics for the Styled With Thanks challenge in aid of health charities.

As the coronavirus pandemic swept the globe, it will mark the first year the Queen hasn't attended the star-studded event since her coronation in 1953.
